Das Aash Child Development Center wurde am 1. April 2019 in der Stadt Kullu in Himachal Pradesh auf Initiative der Samphia Foundation gegründet. Mit einer vielfältigen und umfassenden inklusiven Vision gründeten Shruti und Rekha die Samphia Foundation.
Shruti aus Mumbai zog 2012 nach Kullu und kam als Ergotherapeutin zu Handimachal. Während ihrer 7-jährigen Tätigkeit im Zentrum stieg sie zur geschäftsführenden Leiterin des Handimachal-Therapiezentrums auf. Shruti hat Funktionen zur Bereitstellung von Klinikdiensten, Programmplanung und -implementierung, Schulung, Forschung, Interessenvertretung und Führung wahrgenommen.
Rekha entschied sich nach Abschluss ihres Studiums der Physiotherapie für eine Rückkehr in ihre Heimatstadt Kullu. Rekha arbeitet seit 5 Jahren mit Kindern mit Behinderungen im Handimachal Therapy Center und bietet klinische Dienstleistungen an.
Mit einer kollektiven Erfahrung von 12 Jahren Arbeit auf Grassroute-Ebene sind Rekha mit einem ausgeprägten Verständnis für die lokale Struktur der Gemeinschaft und Shruti mit einer größeren Weltanschauung des Behindertensektors ein Team, das sich verpflichtet hat, die Lücken in der Bereitstellung von Dienstleistungen zu schließen. Menschen mit Behinderungen und ihre Familien mehr Unterstützung, Chancen und Wahlmöglichkeiten zu ermöglichen, ist Teil ihrer bemerkenswerten Agenda. Das ultimative Ziel davon ist Inklusion.
